The 168 Film Project is the signature speed filmmaking competition of world renown 168Film.com. Speed Film teams have 168 hours (7x24) to shoot and edit a short film based on a theme and a Bible verse (pre-production lasts 10 days). "Non-Speed" categories can begin much earlier. Tens of thousands of filmmakers have completed over 1,000 films since 2003. Speed films are produced over US Memorial Day Weekend (late May). ENTRY DEADLINE May 15, 2019.

THEME FOR 2019: "Rebirth"
"Rebirth" is hardly a rewind of life, or reincarnation. It’s much deeper and involves real decisions right now.  Jesus said, “No one can see the kingdom of God without being born again.” What?! How?!  We become new (reborn) upon meeting the savior and then comes the lifelong journey of learning His ways. Come with us as we explore spiritual rebirth.

Not religious? Not a problem. 168 is NOT a Preaching Competition; it's Serious Storytelling! The 168 Film Project is excited to welcome you to the competition, whatever your faith. No, you do not have to make a preachy film to win. Scriptural Integration (how well the scripture is reflected in your story) is a key as is technical prowess. Learn more at 168film.com/Contests

The Producer Entry deadline is May 15. There is still time to enter and make a film for the Grand prize: a trip to the Cannes Film Festival. We also have the "168 Open" category, which is for existing shorts... Up to 35 minutes in length. Our theme is REBIRTH.
