 God’s hand of grace has truly and remarkably been on Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. Nineteen years ago it was a struggling Church of under 100 in attendance. Today it is a thriving Church with over 1000 in attendance and 2000 members. Baptisms are occurring every week with people coming to know Christ and a new building is going up to accommodate the growing ministry. In 2001 HBC moved into a 1200 seat worship center which is now filled every Sunday and now they are building a 25,000 square foot education, office, and multi-minister building which includes a gymnasium, conference space, bible study rooms, office facilities, fellowship areas, and better accessibility to total Church campus. HBC has truly been a miracle of God’s grace and Senior Pastor Glenn Denton attributes it all to the emphasis of evangelism, commitment to the preached Word, prayer, celebrative worship, and a conscious presence of God at each service.
 We focused on reaching young adults and children 19 years ago and since have touched many young families with the life-changing gospel of Christ. We have consistently used a weekly visitation program by visiting prospects and inquirers and visitors to our Church with soul-winning as our goal. We have used events like Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames, the Passion at HBC, musicals and Youth events and strong AWANA for children to reach people. Sunday School outreach and care-sharing is on-going and consistent as well as a 3 time a week approach to Church with no exceptions because it has built commitment among our people.
